Getting to the Museum

Glencairn Museum is located in the heart of Bryn Athyn, PA.

Driving Directions

  • From Rte. 232/Huntingdon Pike/Second Street Pike, turn West at the traffic light onto Cathedral Road.

  • The Bryn Athyn Cathedral will be on your left.

  • At the top of the small hill turn right into the Glencairn Museum parking lot.

  • Accessible parking is located on the cobblestone area, in front of the fountain, near the entrance to the building.

    Please note:

  • Byberry Road has height and weight restrictions.

  • A Byberry Road bridge over the CSX-Trenton Line railroad tracks has a 3-ton weight restriction.

  • There is a stone bridge over Byberry Road with a 9’ 7” clearance.

  • The bridge leading to Bryn Athyn from Terwood Road is currently closed.

 

Public Transportation

Septa Regional Rail:

  • Bethayres Station on the West Trenton line is the closest train station to Glencairn Museum. 

  • The Museum is 2.4 miles north of the station on Huntingdon Pike by car.

  • Visitors can take a bus (see below), call a car service, or walk up the hill. 

  • If walking please note that in some areas along the route there is only a shoulder and no path.

Septa Bus:

The Number 24 Septa bus stops directly in front of the entrance to the Bryn Athyn Historic District. The Museum entrance is .5 miles from the bus stop.
