Christmas in the Castle | Homeschool Days

Come to Glencairn Museum for a special program for home school groups! Great for all ages!

See the Follow the Star: World Nativities exhibition showing how Christians around the world have adapted the Nativity scene to represent their national, regional, and local cultures.

Participate in two activities: Follow the Star Nativities Seek and Find, and the Christmas in Art Quest. Win a prize for correctly answering the questions!

Shop the Ten Thousand Villages Festival sale. The handmade items from around the world support fair trade.

Take the “Christmas in the Castle” tour to see more of the castle and learn about Christmas traditions, including those of Raymond and Mildred Pitcairn, former owners of Glencairn when it was a home. The tour includes the tower, Medieval Christian Christmas art, and Pitcairn family memorabilia. Tours leave at 9:45, 10:30 and 11:15am and last 45 minutes. Limit 12 people per tour.
