Join us this year for a unique Christmas Homeschool Day at Cairnwood Estate, co-presented with Glencairn Museum! Cairnwood is the oldest National Historic Landmark in the Bryn Athyn Historic District, completed in 1895 as the home for John and Gertrude Pitcairn. Explore this unique country house estate and learn about the American Gilded Age in a fun-filled day featuring self-directed quests in the Carriage House and Main House, hands-on projects in the Music and Billiard Rooms, and an around the world tour of Glencairn Museum Nativities. Cairnwood is decorated every year with 8 Christmas trees and an exhibition of vintage fashions that brings the American Gilded Age in a formal country house to life.

Homeschool families are invited to join us for a morning or afternoon of spring fun at the castle! Enjoy live glassblowing demonstrations by Master Craftsman Jason Klein, and Leslie Pierce of Historical Glassworks, explore the medieval stained glass inside the Museum and connect with friends as you work on crafts and activities together.

Hunt for answers to our popular Nativity Quest to win a prize, get creative with a Christmas project you can take home, and reconnect with friends and family.
